Julia Fenby

Julia Fenby works mainly in oil on canvas but also uses collage, mixed and dry media.  Her subjects are usually human or animal, though the physical forms are often indistinct, dissolving into, or emerging from, the ground.  Her work revolves around issues of tension between figure and background, as a parallel to the figure and its relationship to a sense of, or lack of, place.

A graduate of Wimbledon School of Art and Design, Julia now works in Web design when not pursuing her career as a painter.
