    Victoria Burton

Victoria Burton is a local artist who tries to capture in her work the feeling that one might associate with a particular place or experience.  Landscape and form are her main starting points  and she works in a variety of medium including paint, textile, photography and mixed media.

The work in this exhibition has been based on her experience of the Suffolk and Essex coastline.  Many of the pieces are textile based and include found objects.  Some of the pieces are memory maps reflecting on the physicality of the coast.  Other pieces are a direct response to the sea, sky and weather.

Victoria is a lecturer at Colchester Institute and exhibits regularly in Essex and Suffolk.
